About

This site was created to support the Golden Gardens Habitat Guardians. We are a volunteer “Friends of…” group formed in 2026 in collaboration with the City of Eugene. The group is co-led by Dawn Scott and Karen Hall, two residents of the region around the park. We partner with the Active Bethel Citizens Neighborhood Association, WREN (Willamette Resources and Educational Network) and others. If you’re interested in partnering with us on an event, look to our contact us page.

We are a welcoming organization – realizing that to shepherd the park well, we hope to engage all of the citizens that use and love the park. Here is a list of some potential activities that we’ll undertake, but feel free to suggest ideas – see contact us.

-Keeping track of sightings of animals, plants and more through iNaturalist. You can add your photos of these inhabitants of the park at iNaturalist Golden Gardens Park observations.
