Upcoming Habitat Guardian Events:
Saturday, April 18th – Knowing Nature Field day with iNaturalist.
Come learn about the nature found in the park by contributing to iNaturalist, an app designed to help you (and scientists) identify plants, animals, fungi, insects and more! Download the guide and create an iNaturalist account before Saturday. We’ll gather at the front of the park for a quick walk-through on the software, followed by practice and ending the day with sharing results. There will be plenty of help on creating good pictures and identifying organisms!
Saturday, May 30th – Look for us here at “We are Bethel” celebration at the Petersen Barn (noon to 4:00pm).
Saturday, June 6th – “Birds, Bees and Turtles” collaborative with several organizations! More details soon!!

Inaugural Activity at Golden Gardens Park is a Success!
February 7th, 2026: Neighbors, friends and City officials met at 9am to show a little care and concern for Golden Gardens park. We focused our efforts on removing blackberry and teasel from inside and around the Northwestern Pond turtle fenced enclosure. A group of Boy Scouts assisted the group by removing some fencing around trees near the enclosure.
